The Bay is an event curated by Capital Taste Food Group designed to educate and bring awareness to two separate issues in the Chesapeake Bay.
The first is the problems that invasive species can cause and the harm they can do to the eco system. Your meal will feature dishes utilizing some of these invasive species such as blue catfish and northern snakehead.
The second issue is the underutilization of many different native species in the bay. There is a treasure chest of seafood in our very backyard that is being underutilized. We can cut down on the usage of resources from importing seafood if we can utilize what we have right here in the Chesapeake Bay. Your meal will also feature some of these local, native gems.
